Hunter x Hunter

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter × Hunter manga is set to release a new manga volume after 1 year and 10 months since the publication of volume 37.

Hunter × Hunter volume 38 is scheduled for release on Sep 4, 2024.

The upcoming volume will contain a total of 208 page.

Hunter × Hunter is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since March 1998, although the manga has frequently gone on extended hiatuses since 2006.

Yoshihiro Togashi is currently serializing Hunter × Hunter on an irregular schedule due to his ongoing health issues, including back pain.

The manga last went on a hiatus after the publication of chapter 400 on Dec 18, 2022.

He has, however, been actively posting updates on the latest chapters on his official X account.

On Nov 20, 2023, he had revealed the ending of HUNTER x HUNTER to the guests of TV Asahi’s popular variety show Iwakura and Yoshizumi in case he passed away before the completion of the manga.

The author revealed three planned endings to the HxH manga – A, B and C, all of which will have different levels of satisfaction from the fans.

The manga has been translated into English and released in North America by Viz Media since April 2005.

Hunter × Hunter was adapted into a 62-episode anime television series produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, which ran on Fuji Television from October 1999 to March 2001. Three separate original video animations (OVAs) totaling 30 episodes were subsequently produced by Nippon Animation and released in Japan from 2002 to 2004. A second anime television series by Madhouse aired on Nippon Television from October 2011 to September 2014, totaling 148 episodes, with two animated theatrical films released in 2013.
