Chi No Wadachi and Aku No Hana author Shuzo Oshimi is set to launch a brand new manga series.
Titled The Sound of Blinking (Mabataki No Oto), the manga will launch in the Big Comic Superior magazine on Dec 13, 2024, in its issue 1/2025.
Oshimi recently released a new short manga series, the Zaiaku Yomikiri Series!? (Sinful One-Shot Series!?), in Big Comic Original magazine. The first story in this one-shot series, titled “Hiromi (First Part),” was published on Nov 5, 2024.
Oshimi debuted with Superfly in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine. He would go on to start his first series Avant-Garde Yumeko in the magazine.
His works have been adapted into many different media, with Drifting Net Café and Inside Mari into television dramas, The Flowers of Evil into an anime, and Sweet Poolside into a live action film.
In 2001, he won the Tetsuya Chiba Award.
His Chi No Wadachi and Welcome Back, Alice ended serialization on on Sep 8, 2023, and Aug 9, 2023, respectively.
