Weekly Shonen Jump is gearing up to celebrate the 1st anniversary of Hokazono Takeru’s Kagurabachi in its upcoming issue #40, set to release on Sep 2, 2024.

The 1st anniversary milestone will be marked by major announcements, including its latest merchandise info and secret projects.

The secret project has fans hoping for an anime series, considering that it has enough material to cover a first season. However, after the recent My Hero Academia secret project reveal turned out to be a popularity poll, expectations are more cautious this time around.

The issue will also feature Kagurabachi on the cover page, along with a lead color page.

Kagurabachi has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since September 2023. The first tankobon volume was released on Feb 2, 2024.

The series’ third volume was published in July 2024, with Naruto author Masashi Kishimoto recommending Kagurabachi manga in the volume.

Viz Media and Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform are publishing the series in English.

It has also garnered significant international attention. The English version of Chapter 1 achieved the top spot in global views on MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA just one week after its debut.

It was chosen as the best up-and-coming manga on Shueisha’s Manga Plus app by fans during Anime Expo 2024.
