The final chapter of My Hero Academia may have concluded the story, but fans can expect even more in the manga’s last volume.

Scheduled for release on Dec 4, 2024, the 42nd volume will include exclusive content that extends beyond the original ending.

According to an announcement on the official X account of My Hero Academia, the final volume will feature a 38-page bonus manga.

This exclusive addition will explore events that go beyond the series’ final chapter, offering fans a glimpse into what happens after the story’s conclusion.

My Hero Academia manga wrapped up its 10-year run on Aug 5, 2024.

To celebrate the legacy of the manga, Kohei Horikoshi is collaborating with Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, which also concluded this year, for a special art exhibition at Jump Festa 2025.

Kohei Horikoshi started serializing the manga in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014. Its chapters have been collected in 41 tankobon volumes as of August 2024.

The series has numerous spin-off manga, including My Hero Academia: Smash!!, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes and My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions.

It has also been adapted into an anime series by Bones.

The first season of the anime aired in Japan from April to June 2016, followed by a second season from April to September 2017, then a third season from April to September 2018, a fourth season from October 2019 to April 2020, a fifth season from March to September 2021, a sixth season from October 2022 to March 2023, a seventh season from May to October 2024, and an upcoming eighth and final season which is set to premiere in 2025.

It has also received four animated films, titled My Hero Academia: Two HeroesMy Hero Academia: Heroes RisingMy Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission, and My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
