Kishimoto

During a recent press conference in Paris, celebrated manga artist Masashi Kishimoto, known for creating Naruto and supervising its sequel Boruto, hinted at the possibility of launching a new manga.

While Kishimoto refrained from sharing specific details or a timeline, he expressed a renewed sense of motivation that has come from spending quality time with his family and friends.

This newfound energy, he revealed, has made him more receptive to the idea of embarking on a new manga project.

The possibility of a new manga from Kishimoto is an exciting prospect for fans, especially given his influence and success in the manga industry.

Naruto remains one of the most iconic and influential series in the world, and any new project by Kishimoto is sure to generate significant interest and anticipation.

However, Kishimoto’s previous work, Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru, did not achieve the same level of success as Naruto.

The series, which aimed to blend science fiction with traditional samurai themes, was ultimately canceled due to low readership and reception.

Kishimoto’s comments about the new manga were made during his visit to France to promote Boruto: Two Blue Vortex alongside Mikio Ikemoto, the current artist for the Boruto series.

A separate interview was carried out during the event NUIT À KONOHA, where Kishimoto and Ikemoto delved into more details about their ongoing work on Boruto manga and future plans.

The first volume of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga released in France on Aug 23, 2024. The manga is licensed in France by Kana.
