IDW Publishing has announced an interesting fusion of Japanese and Western pop culture with a new crossover comic featuring Naruto and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
This collaborative comic miniseries is set to debut in October 2024 in both physical and digital formats.
The news first was first leaked on a Russian TMNT forum, Turtle Power, which provided details about the release window and cover art of the comic series.
According the leak, the cover art for ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto‘ is illustrated by DC comic artist Jorge Jimenez.
This leak was further solidified after Jimenez shared a sneak peek of the draft on Instagram, showcasing Naruto.
Further details regarding the plot details, writer, are yet to be revealed.
Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It was serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from September 1999 to November 2014, with its chapters collected in 72 tankobon volumes.
TMNT, is a media franchise created by the comic book artists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The franchise began as a comic book, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which Eastman and Laird conceived as a parody of elements popular in superhero comics at the time.
